中庸 / Disc: 1 / #10 師徒同心行調寄:陪你看日出 Melody: Accompanying You To Watch the Sunrise 2008.06.01 彌勒寶堂/Happy Buddha Precious Temple 中文歌詞 南屏狂顛 慈訓 中文/Chinese scripture by Ji-Gong Living Buddha (Holy Teacher)
Preliminary translation 靈隱禪師慈語 | Ji-Gong Living Buddha (Holy Teacher)'s merciful words | 觀乎 天地無私 覆載萬物 故能成其大 | Observe: Heaven and Earth are selfless, covering all things—Thus, they are great | 減一分私心 即增一分公心 | Reducing one's selfishness increases one's selflessness | 減一分我慾 即存一分天理 | Reducing one's desires gives one Heaven's Truth | 愈為私者 愈不能成其私 | The greater the pursuits for oneself, the less able to achieve one's goals | 故唯有以大公無私 光明正直之心 | So only with a heart that is impartial and selfless, bright and upright, | 可以制天下為我之私心私慾 | can one prevent selfishness and selfish desires | |
| 聖曰 人人為我 我為人人 | A sage says: All for one and one for all | 誠以天下之至公 方能成就天下之至理 | Only for the good of all can we achieve the ideal | 去己以為天下 方能彰顯其大我之胸襟 | By ridding the self for the sake of all can we manifest the collective broad heart | 若從私上出發 則限於小我矣 | If everything comes from the self then what we achieve is only for the self | |
